Ms. Meghan Speech Therapy specializes in treating speech sound disorders and early language intervention.

Speech therapy assesses and treats speech disorders or communication problems that include speaking, thinking, swallowing, etc. It helps children suffering from aphasia, apraxia, articulation disorder, cognitive-communication disorder, Dysarthria, Expressive disorders, fluency disorders, receptive disorder, and resonance disorders to develop skills like clarity, comprehension, fluency, voice, and sound production. Ms. Meghan specializes in assessing and treating children of all ages. Depending on the disorder, she use techniques like tongue exercises, language intervention activities, articulation, and other techniques and technologies.

Screenings

Speech, language and oral motor/feeding impairments can impact your child’s academic and social life. Ms. Meghan offers individualized therapy that can help your child succeed in daily life. She offers brief screenings to identify potential deficits in speech, after which she will review the results with you and provide recommendations. 

Targeted Assessments

Ms. Meghan provides evaluations for the purposes of differential diagnosis of Speech Sound Disorders. You will receive a completed written evaluation report, complete with formal assessment results, informal observations, background information, and recommendations.

Therapy

Based on the results of the evaluation, Ms. Meghan will work with you and your child to develop a customized therapy program to address areas of concern.  Therapy is always based on current research and driven by the needs and interests of our patients.
